Glucose and ketones in urine is important in patients with diabetes mellitus. Healthy human urine urine of these materials . Glucose in the urine is due to increased blood glucose levels, the lack of diabetes control. Ketones in the urine may be in a threatening complication of diabetic ketoacidosis and the presence of other conditions : vomiting , fever , pregnancy , fasting.
How do I perform this test?
To perform this test you need to use a small bowl to collect the urine sample. Dip the test strip into the urine sample for 30-60 seconds and then check the results . The test must be conducted in a well lit area.
The test can be performed at any time of the day , but it is recommended to do a test before or 2 hours after a meal.
What I will tell you the result?
The test kit contains 2 test strips, which are immersed in the urine sample , the ribbon in the reaction area stain colors and it allows you to see the items in concentration. Performance is evaluated in comparison with the test strip evaluation results in Table color values . The test results are evaluated visually.
