This is a deceptively simple monitor: just place the pad under the mattress, link it to the alarm unit and switch on. It runs on normal household batteries so doesn’t pose a danger to your baby by being connected to the mains, and there’s a low battery indicator to make sure the unit is always in good working order. The sensor pad can be used under any mattress up to 14cm deep, and once your baby’s progressed to a larger bed you can even attach another pad to give the extra coverage needed.

The sensor pad is highly sensitive so can detect even the slightest movement, and if your baby’s breathing should stop for 20 seconds or drop to less that eight breaths per minute, the alarm will sound.
